Tim Davison
Tim is the manager of iCare Arataki and currently oversees the management of iCare Te Puke. He has helped set up iCare from the start, motivated by the exciting opportunity in after school care to build something that better serves New Zealand kids and their families.
Although an engineer by background he returned with his family from the Philippines in 2019 after a year working with kids programmes there which highlighted his passion for investing in and encouraging both kids and their families.
Born in Tauranga, Tim lives in Te Puna with wife Petrina and four young kids.
Katie Carr
Katie was a part of the original team when iCare first started in 2020. After a few years break she is now back on board as the manager of the Te Puke branch.
She loves working with kids and all the joy, fun and quirkiness they bring! She also helps run children's programmes at The Orchard Church.
Katie lives on a farm in Te Puke with her husband Nathan.
iCare Staff
Rachael Scott
Rachael joined our iCare team at the start of 2021 after helping with our January holiday programme.
She loves working with kids and has plenty of prior experience as a qualified early childhood teacher working at a childcare centre for the previous 12 years. Rachael is currently upping her skills through part time study for a teaching degree at BTI.
Isaac Hema
Isaac hails from Gisbourne but moved with his family to Te Puke as a kid. He has worked with iCare since shortly after our start and each of our holiday programmes to date. He enjoys any opportunity to build into kids, with involvement in sunday school programmes, youth groups ad Rally for a number of years in Te Puke.
Mikayla Crawford
Mikayla moved to the sunny Bay of Plenty from the Waikato in January 2023 to become the Children's Pastor at The Orchard Church. She is also now a part of the iCare team part time.
Mikayla spent two years studying the Bible at Pathways Bible College and Davis College (USA). While she was studying she spent three years interning with para-church organisation, Word of Life. During this time Mikayla grew a real passion for young people and discipleship.
Mikayla loves the outdoors and takes any opportunity to be at the beach swimming or surfing.
Dion Fraser
A Te Puke and Tauranga local, Dion brings some x-factor experience and plenty of fun to add to what we offer at iCare. He has been involved with Parkor gym classes and Flipout trampoline park for a number of years, on top of many years working with kids in church programmes.
Governance Team
iCare is overseen by a team of volunteer individuals that make up our Board of Trustees. They are all involved with churches in Mount Maunganui, Papamoa and Te Puke. Jon and Darryl are involved with the NZ Rally National Council and ran the Boys and Girls Rally in Arataki, based at the Mount Bible Chapel for a number of years. Jodi is involved in kids programmes at The Orchard Church in Te Puke, including a Rally programme there.
iCare Kids is also supported by the NZ Rally Council, The Orchard Church, and Mount Bible Chapel. Litchfield Lands financially support our programmes and Totara Springs Christian Centre offer their support by providing subsidised fees for our iCare kids at their holiday camps.
Meet Our Trustees
Jodi Wichers
Jodi is currently studying counselling at BTI, Tauranga. She is happily married to Andy, with a houseful of teenagers and young adults to care for. Aside from raising her own four kids she has been involved in children's work as Children's Pastor at The Orchard Church, a Mainly Music leader, a teacher aide, Plunket - Education in schools facilitator, Totara Springs Christian Centre staff and Te Puke Play Centre roles.
Jon Church
Jon is married to Karen and has four children aged 7 to 21. Jon has been involved with Rally for more than 15 years. He has also spent a number of years involved with Christian Surfers.
Jon has been running a roof maintenance business for 17+ years and worked as a roofer for 11 years prior to that.
Jon has a real passion to see kids fully equipped for life. He loves the outdoors - hunting, surfing, fishing etc.
Darryl McConnell
Darryl has an entrepreneurial background and has worked in corporates in commercial management, startups and strategy. He is an accountant by trade but prefers to get involved in entrepreneurial activities and startups.
Darryl is co founder of 'thegoodsource.net' and is a director for a Wellington shoe startup YYnation.com. He and his wife own a safety netting business.
Darryl has four teenage kids and has a passion for seeing kids reach their full potential. He is involved with National Rally Council and has been involved with youth work all of his life.

Advisors
Andy Wichers
Andy Wichers is married to Jodi, he is involved in an advisory role. Andy is also a member of the Western Bay Council and the Te Puke High School Board of Trustees.
Brendon Wilson
Brendon is also involved in an advisory role. Brendon is the Principal of Te Ranga Primary School and is involved with the Golden Sands Church in Papamoa.
